I shot this inside my hut last week. It’s a little dark, but you can get a sense of what it looks like inside at night. I’m heading back up there tomorrow, hopefully to start a garden, so expect more interesting news next week…

I thought you might consider this alternative heating method for the cabin. Going over the sight details, it looks like you could throw one of these together yourself cheaply and easily. It may be ideal for your square footage and you get the added bonus of candlelight.

Good that the “camp site” is in good shape. Now that you’ve got you vehicle, I thought I’d through my opinion into the fray, I’d go for a small truck with a lumber rack. The lumber rack would affect the mileage you’d get but the ability to haul long 2x’s would be worth it (in my mind).
I imagine your going to go into detail about your Solar system updates. Sounds interesting.
Anyway, the reason I’m commenting is…. (and I realize you may already be aware of this) on Michale Jantzen’s Tiny House Living site there is a link to the Tree House Diaries which I though worked into what your trying to do in Serenity Valley rather well.
Nothing worse than posting the obvious, but I just had to mention it.
